Contemporary New-Build Barn

This project involves the design of a bespoke contemporary barn-style home, drawing inspiration from traditional agricultural buildings while adopting a refined modern architectural approach. The house combines simple rural forms with contemporary detailing and natural materials, creating a dwelling that responds sensitively to its countryside setting. The design incorporates open-plan living spaces, large areas of glazing and carefully framed views to strengthen the connection between the home and the surrounding landscape. A restrained palette of materials, including brickwork, dark cladding and standing seam metal roofing, gives the building a contemporary character while maintaining a strong relationship with the agricultural vernacular of the area.
