Bespoke Luxury Residence, Ballasalla

Wardsfell is a bespoke private luxury residence in Ballasalla, designed to respond to the steeply sloping site and its rural setting. The house adopts a split-level arrangement that follows the natural topography, allowing the building to sit comfortably within the landscape.

Constructed in a contemporary arts and crafts style, using natural stone and timber, the design draws on contextual materials while maintaining a contemporary architectural language. Bedrooms are positioned to benefit from morning sunlight, while the main living spaces capture evening light and open onto the garden, framing views across the surrounding countryside.

McGarrigle Ayre Architects provided full architectural services from inception to completion, guiding the project through planning, building regulations and technical design stages through to construction and completion on site.
